This Beauty of a Blender could be Yours for FREE!

Imagine starting the New Year with a Vitamix Blender…for FREE! Thanks to the generous folks at Vitamix, I have one FREE Vitamix Blender to giveaway this holiday season! This blog post will tell you everything you need to know about the FREE Vitamix giveaway, so keep reading and be sure to add your comment below! In addition, I’m also offering a FREE online Iridology Analysis and a FREE Green Smoothie DVD and eKit to the lucky winner. This is our way of saying ‘Thank you’ to all of my loyal Twitter followers, clients and Facebook friends. If we are willing to offer you the chance of a clean, fresh start to your health and well-being for 2013, you better believe that we believe in what we do and we believe in you too!

Just in case you don’t know what a Vitamix is, it’s a blender. That means it blends the fiber and the liquid of whatever you put inside. It is not a juicer (a juicer separates the fiber from the liquid, leaving only the liquid for you to drink). A blender is very practical for busy people because it takes a just a few minutes to prepare your creation, is very easy to clean, and with a blender, you get all the nutrients from your food plus you get the fiber too. Most people are simply not eating enough fiber in their daily diet; the result can lead to poor digestion, acid reflux, arthritis, bad skin, weak liver, sluggishness, foul breath and even restless sleep. Getting fiber in your diet is so easy when you simply have 1 healthy smoothie a day. Add superfoods to your smoothie and you can really maximize the power of your foods to get the most fiber, nutrients, minerals and chlorophyll – all valuable tools for healing and all elements needed to make you feel that Healthy Bliss!

The ‘BMW’ of blender motors!

Now you know that the Vitamix is a blender. But I didn’t mention that it is the BMW of blenders. Well, it better be…for a price of $449.00 USD!! It’s the dream blender of every raw foodist and health enthusiast I know, including me! The reason why the Vitamix Blender is considered the best blender on the market is because it has an excellent motor, it’s extremely well made and it’s guaranteed for 7 years. You can blend anything in this blender thanks to that motor, even an avocado seed, it’s true! This is a blender that lasts for life; that’s why people pay a lot for it, because it’s really a long-term investment in your health. I am really excited to have the chance to give this away because I’ve seen the change that my clients have made, and I know that good food is the key.

An Online Iridology Analysis ($99.95 value): What it can do for you

Iridology is the science of the iris, or colored portion, of the eye. The iris is connected to every organ and tissue of the body by way of the brain and central nervous system through the optic nerve. The optic nerve connects to the central nervous system (CNS) which is the main communication link to everything that goes on in the body.

After suffering with depression from the age of 16 due to bullying. I always wondered why? Why me? There’s nothing wrong with my life? I started to binge eat and gained 80lb from the age of 16 to 20. It’s only been this year (with the help of following your twitter account) that I realised that my diet could of had an effect on my emotions even before I started to binge. I started to print screen your tweets and put them as my screen saver so whenever I thought about eating something bad for me I’d look at that therefore I have pretty much cut out all starchy carbs (apart from special occasions, thankfully there aren’t many of them) and if I have a sweet treat it’ll be the darkest organic chocolate I can find. I have lost 15lb so far, still lots more to go. I feel so much better making baby steps and I am going to try and buy many raw food recipe books to keep improving. And I hope but this time next year I will be in great health and full of healthy knowledge so I can continue to improve my health.

I have PCOS and have cut way back on carbs and processed foods. It’s extremely hard for me to lose weight, but at least I’ve been able to maintain at a decent weight (rather than gain like I had been miserably the past few years). I feel good… and hopefully with even more changes and my new workout routine I’ll be able to lose a few more pounds (and keep them off)!

I’ve made many dietary changes over the years in my quest for optimal health and reversing my chronic conditions. The two that made the biggest impact were without a doubt, eliminating gluten and adding green smoothies to my diet. I’ve never really eaten processed foods and have always eaten a lot of produce, but I wasn’t absorbing the nutrients because I had Celiac’s. After cutting out gluten, I used green smoothies to get more absorbable nutrients back into my body and facilitate the healing process. For the first time in my life, my finger nails grew in white and thick instead of clear and brittle, my hair color became more vibrant, my digestive issues reversed, and I was able to completely reverse my autoimmune thyroid disease (along with some other lifestyle changes). I additionally had to cut out a lot of other delayed allergic reaction foods (some of which would normally be healthy – almonds, some seeds, some fruits), and was also able to completely reverse my asthma and get off all of my medications.

I’ve been trying to eat healthier, especially after being pregnant/having my baby. I want to set a good example for her.

The changes I’ve made include eating less processed foods, cooking healthier (and with healthier oils, who knew!), no soda, and way less snacking. Also working on making the rest of my life healthier too with exercise and greener cleaning & healing.

Replaced most dairy with nut milk based products. I feel healthier than ever, and it’s all thanks to choosing the right foods every day. I have been an advocate to the people around me to also make these changes because of how it has changed my life. Happy Holidays to all!

This year I’ve added a lot of raw recipes to my life. Many new clean eating foods, and basically reduced chemicals (I had already reduced sugars). But 2 months ago I started drinking green smoothies. With a regular blender these get a bit discouraging simply because you spend so much time trying to get it to blend, and you wind up with froth while you try getting lettuce or banana or whatever to blend so you can add more things.

I gave up all grains and gluten-free flour replacements. Although I know I am celiac I thought the gluten-free baked goods were still okay to be on my plate but I felt sluggish and bloated still after eating them. So I have given up stocking it at home and baking at home. Occasionally when I get a craving I will travel to a bakery that specializes in gluten-free goods and splurge, but that is definitely a rare occasion now!

I don’t have health insurance so I’ve never been officially diagnosed with anything but for almost a year and half I was in pain almost daily (uterus and one of my ovaries). I can honestly say, adding sprouts and other live and raw foods along with green smoothies and juices to my life and daily nutrition completely changed my life. They also changed my son’s life, now 4. He used to be “asthmatic” and on 2 allergy medicines, 2 steroids, constant antibiotics, and a fungicide that countered a reaction to the steroids (this all for a 2 year old!). I took charge of his health by changing his diet with conviction, I gave him green smoothies every day twice a day, added super foods and live foods, along with topical uses of essentials oils and a total change the detergents and products I used in our home and skin. He is asthma free and PHARMA free now 2 years.

As a low income, single mother, this has been such a major victory for me. I researched information and put a plan into action, even when my environment and culture were less than supportive.

But, now, my son is proof as am I.

I am thankful for tweeters and leaders like Jennifer. I actually have her sprouts bags and the peeler and tell everyone about them. I think they are the most economically accessible tools EVER and they are just fantastic.

This would be an awesome giveaway for my son and I but, also for anyone else who wins it so, good luck everyone.

    Namaste!

I started having a green smoothie every day 4 months ago and I felt so much better, my digestion changed, my skin is getting better from rosacea, I don´t feel swollen any more. But most of all I have learned to believe in myself! To believe that I can do a change in my life, in my health, in my mind. That feeling better and happy helps the ones around me feel better and happier too. That you can do small changes to reach your dream!! Thanks Jen for helping me in this journey and thanks for this opportunity to win a Vitamix! Good luck to everyone.

Over the last year or so, I have reduced or nearly eliminated all processed foods from my diet. This effort started as a way to try to identify issues I was having with recurring upper respiratory issues thought to be caused by food allergies. However, one month into my nutrition change, I learned that I actually had a chronic lung disease. Specifically, my lungs were scarred after having swine flu back in 2009, and as a result I have a restrictive lung disorder. When I met with my lung specialist for the first time, I told him my goal was to get off of (or significantly reduce) the many medications he was putting me on so I could breathe. As well, as an avid marathon racewalker, I told him I wanted to increase my race participation in half-marathons while decreasing my pace per mile time. Since my initial diagnosis in August 2011, I have lost about 20 lbs; decreased my average pace per mile time from 19:30 to 17:05 (my goal is 15:30); decreased or eliminated some of the asthma/breathing meds prescribed; and I have finished 5 more half marathons (for a total of 18 now). As fate would have it, I was laid off from my job (effective 11/30/12). I’ve lost my health benefits (temporarily) but I know that I can manage my health effectively through nutrition and exercise. I’m hopeful that I will win, but wish everyone the best of luck! (PS – Twitter handle is @theliterati)

I have changed over to organic produce and milk. I feel like this is helping me and my family stay away from unnecessary pesticides and hormones. Hopefully this will help our overall health in the long term.

I’ve stopped eating dairy that does not note the absence of hormones. I’ve noticed I have clearer skin and am less irritable!

I switched to eating nearly all organic foods. I feel better knowing that I’m not eating pesticides on a regular basis! I don’t have as many stomach problems and I don’t get food poisoning as often, since I tend to eat more locally grown foods from smaller farmers (and thus avoid the distribution problems the larger food manufacturers have).

In April, I went plant-based. I lost a total of 91lbs. I am now able to walk without the use of forearm crutches or a cane. I have about 25lbs to go to reach a normal weight. I never had too much an issue with blood pressure or cholesterol and those numbers came down to a much better range. Cholesterol is well under 150 now from 178. I may have been considered pre-diabetic with an a1c of 6.1 and am now 5.2

I would love to have a Vitamix! It would help me with meal options, add a little excitement to foods! I have gluten intolerance and I am a raw vegan in the summer exclusively! But in the winter, with -30 below weather in canada I eat some cooked vegan foods, having a Vitamix would mean I could make warm raw soups! Good luck everyone! Vitamix you are gonna make some lucky winners Christmas fanatastic!! X0X0

Eating at home more often and eating out a lot less makes me feel better about myself. When I do eat out, I’m very picky about where I go and what I order. Making better choices all around for a healthier heart and teaching my children the same. I have not lost any weight but my taste buds and “eyes” have changed. Fast food makes me cringe now…..

I greatly reduced the amount of refined sugar, dairy, and flour (of any kind) in my diet and started making smoothies and raw desserts in my vitamix. Within a few months I was a new person! No medications (got rid of 5 of them), and no need for antidepressants, after 10 straight years on them. Hurray!

I went to no processed foods and said goodbye to headaches!!!! I have shared with friends and families with organic being helpful and have friends who share amazing stories of getting off medications that doctors cant explain! Im so thankful for this opportunity and hope to win to help my family become more healthy now that we are gluten free! Thanks again.

Last year I started raw food diet. It was very good my thinking was crystal clear. Unfortunately I stopped it because I have to learn more about this diet, but I will start it again soon. I don’t eat meat and wheat I have more energy than ever before.

Juicing everyday sometimes multiple times has dramatically changed my life. Energy is always high, skin looks great, digestion is perfect, no colds or allergies since I started about 2 years ago. – “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

Here’s my favorite combo, I call it my Elixir of Life™:
    cucumber
    half a head of celery
    three apples
    one orange
    a green bell pepper
half a head of red cabbage
    3-4 carrots
    Two stocks of broccoli
    one tomato.

Love what you do Jennifer, found you on YouTube a year or so ago? Will follow you via my VocoDesigns twitter account. Much love.
