If we are willing to offer you the chance of a clean, fresh start to your health and well-being for 2013, you better believe that we believe in what we do and we believe in you too!

Just in case you don’t know what a Vitamix is, it’s a blender. That means it blends the fiber and the liquid of whatever you put inside. It is not a juicer (a juicer separates the fiber from the liquid, leaving only the liquid for you to drink). A blender is very practical for busy people because it takes a just a few minutes to prepare your creation, is very easy to clean, and with a blender, you get all the nutrients from your food plus you get the fiber too. Most people are simply not eating enough fiber in their daily diet; the result can lead to poor digestion, acid reflux, arthritis, bad skin, weak liver, sluggishness, foul breath and even restless sleep. Getting fiber in your diet is so easy when you simply have 1 healthy smoothie a day. Add superfoods to your smoothie and you can really maximize the power of your foods to get the most fiber, nutrients, minerals and chlorophyll – all valuable tools for healing and all elements needed to make you feel that Healthy Bliss!

The ‘BMW’ of blender motors!

It’s the dream blender of every raw foodist and health enthusiast I know, including me! The reason why the Vitamix Blender is considered the best blender on the market is because it has an excellent motor, it’s extremely well made and it’s guaranteed for 7 years. You can blend anything in this blender thanks to that motor, even an avocado seed, it’s true! This is a blender that lasts for life; that’s why people pay a lot for it, because it’s really a long-term investment in your health. I am really excited to have the chance to give this away because I’ve seen the change that my clients have made, and I know that good food is the key.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve cultivated a taste for leafy greens, raw and cooked, and eat them routinely. Local organic salad greens, without dressing, have become a favorite snack. This seems to have changed my metabolism or some other fundamental, because I no longer get the munchies for chocolate or other processed snacks, or even for carbs. If you offered me the choice of a head of radicchio and a plate of cookies, I wouldn’t think twice, and I wouldn’t be posing either – I genuinely WANT the radicchio whereas the cookies are fine, but they’re not compelling. This seems to have stopped the middle-age weight creep I had been experiencing, and who knows what other benefits have accrued? – with health, there’s really no way to know how badly off you’d be had you made different choices.

One very positive change I have made in my diet is the elimination of gluten. Found out last year that I had a sensitivity to gluten, and since removing gluten from my diet (and being mindful of labels, looking for hidden counterparts that could cause a reaction), I’ve actually been successful in letting my body heal.

This said, I still suffer from other ailments that do affect my life in numerous ways (to include the quality of my life, and the ability to hold down employment), which makes it even HARDER to afford something like a Vitamix (have been telling my family this is the only gift I wanted this year for my birthday and the holidays was a Vitamix, nothing else. Sadly they told me to keep dreaming ~_~)

I have been on a health quest my entire life, trying to find what really is the optimal way of eating. I have doing sugar (sweets) fasts and really love it. I began on looking into raw lifestyles and I enjoy those, but they are very time consuming, and when you are a young mom of 3 little ones, a wife to a carnivore, a fitness instructor and a hairdresser, quick becomes essential. I use to juice, but it was to hard for me to throw away all the fiber which is so important in a diet. So I turned to making chopped salads and keeping a high alkaline diet which has given me awesome energy and healthy kids.

My cholesterol levels are way below average & my only struggle is with sweets so drinking smoothies has helped me get my fruits and veggies along with flax seeds and chia seeds and I now have more energy.

I have long had a passion for cooking. I used to want to be a chef & go to the CIA. I made some education mistakes & ended up giving up on that dream. When I got my Vitamix it sparked that passion in me again. I love making everything in my Vitamix especially smoothies and soups. Everything I make is fresh and healthy and yummy. No more canned & processed foods. The biggest change has to be my mental health tho. It brings me such happiness and joy.

I fell in love with juicing and my body has been thanking me for the extra fruits and vegetables! Juicing has made me more aware of my choices of food and my intake on what food is. Just this little step has opened my world completely, only thing is my juicer stinks! LOL. All the pulp comes thru the back and leaves chunks of spinach in my cup! I would LOVE to have the Vitamix completely, love!!!!

Everyday, my goal is to eat a rainbow” of fruits and vegetables, while avoiding processed foods as best as I can. I make a breakfast smoothie into which I throw in organic apple, acai, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, papaya and either collard or kale from my garden. I feel satisfied till noon at which time I have a BIG salad and I don’t experience that 3 o’ clock slump. Eating healthier and having more energy makes me want to exercise more, too. It’s a win-win for me!

I am 41 and have exercised regularly since i was about 19. About 2 years ago I started doing Crossfit and learned about the Paleo Diet. Since i have started this way of eating and elimination all grains, sugars and processed foods my health has improved significantly. I currently juice with a Jack Lalane juicer and feel it has helped but dont like the fact that is removes the bulk of the fruits and veggies. I make sure not to eat any meat or chicken that is not wild caught and only eat fresh eggs direct from the farm. I go to the farmers market weekly and buy directly from them. With both parents ill, one from cancer and the other with Graves disease i would really use this Vitamix. I have been wanting one for sooo long but just cant afford it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mariana

One positive change I have made in my diet is eliminating gluten and wheat from my diet. It has helped my digestion system tremendously, as I was having problems before then breaking down the gluten and wheat in everything and was getting serious skin irritations as a result. I made many changes, cutting calories, fat and sodium a few years ago and noticed having more energy and overall improved moods. But really I want to win this for my son who is on a full liquid diet because he refuses solid food. Compound that with food allergies and we don’t have many high-calorie, healthy options that are not manufactured. A Vitamix could revolutionize his food intake, improving the quality of what we feed him and be healthy. He also has neutropenia, so I would love for him to be able to eat super foods that are high in antioxidants.

The best positive change I made in my diet was incorporating more raw foods. I started this by doing a month long intensive intestine cleanse and getting colonics, followed by eating about an 80% raw vegan diet. I have had psoriasis for 10 years on my scalp and neck. After I cleansed and changed my diet it has nearly vanished. A little remains on the back of my neck near my hair line, but I am now focused on cleansing my liver to get every last bit of it gone. Not having to feel self-conscious about my skin or being able to wear black because I wasn’t so flakey has been awesome. I am now eating a complete raw vegan diet and working at a raw vegan cafe where I share my healing experience with others and hope that inspires them to start their own journey towards perfect health.

Ever since I started eating raw food, I noticed tremendous changes in my body. Most of all, my stubborn rash that happens every year chronically gradually stops. This unknown rash condition has bothered me since 10 years ago, I’ve seen doctors in all sorts of expertise, ie. Western, Eastern, Alternative medicine, holistic homeotherapy, you name it. None of them could come up with a good answer to help me cure it. I was even prescribed with the type of medicine that treats cancer, since rash is inflammation. My body definitely didn’t do well with that kind of medication. Later on I got tired of it and decided to clean my internal body by eating raw organic food, making green smoothies daily for the entire past year. Now it’s becoming my life style. This is the most positive change in my diet that has improved my health, and well-being. I highly recommend it.

The one change I have made in my diet is taking the time to plan and prepare my own food instead of scrambling to grab whatever I can to eat . I was in Jamaica last year and a local told me something that still resonates with me every time I am thinking about my next meal: “Things that are a convenience to you today are taking years off of your life at the end.”

Think about that next time you are in a hurry and grab that fast food…

I started on my health awareness journey approximately 2 years ago. Within that time I’ve educated myself on many ways to live a vibrant lifestyle where not only do I look better, I feel better. My mornings consist of a green organic juice or smoothie for breakfast. The smoothie is great for keeping me satisfied until lunch. The rest of my meals always start with a large organic green salad. The fiber is great, and fills me up so that I don’t overeat throughout the rest of my meals. If I need a snack( and I usually do) I’ll try to have another smoothie of banana, acai, coconut water and avocado, Yumm, sugar fix! Or some healthy raw nuts. It’s not always easy to maintain this lifestyle, but even when I’ve strayed I always find my way back. I listen to my body, continually educate myself about our food, and make the best decisions for me for that day. Be well.
