This blog post will tell you everything you need to know about the FREE Vitamix giveaway, so keep reading and be sure to add your comment below! This is our way of saying ‘Thank you’ to all of my loyal Twitter followers, clients and Facebook friends. If we are willing to offer you the chance of a clean, fresh start to your health and well-being for 2013, you better believe that we believe in what we do and we believe in you too!

Just in case you don’t know what a Vitamix is, it’s a blender. That means it blends the fiber and the liquid of whatever you put inside. It is not a juicer (a juicer separates the fiber from the liquid, leaving only the liquid for you to drink). A blender is very practical for busy people because it takes a just a few minutes to prepare your creation, is very easy to clean, and with a blender, you get all the nutrients from your food plus you get the fiber too. Most people are simply not eating enough fiber in their daily diet; the result can lead to poor digestion, acid reflux, arthritis, bad skin, weak liver, sluggishness, foul breath and even restless sleep. Getting fiber in your diet is so easy when you simply have 1 healthy smoothie a day. Add superfoods to your smoothie and you can really maximize the power of your foods to get the most fiber, nutrients, minerals and chlorophyll – all valuable tools for healing and all elements needed to make you feel that Healthy Bliss!

The ‘BMW’ of blender motors!

It’s the dream blender of every raw foodist and health enthusiast I know, including me! The reason why the Vitamix Blender is considered the best blender on the market is because it has an excellent motor, it’s extremely well made and it’s guaranteed for 7 years. You can blend anything in this blender thanks to that motor, even an avocado seed, it’s true! This is a blender that lasts for life; that’s why people pay a lot for it, because it’s really a long-term investment in your health. I am really excited to have the chance to give this away because I’ve seen the change that my clients have made, and I know that good food is the key.

Well I used to think processed foods were it when it came to eating, I literally thought that was IT for our food in this life, also being young and misinformed didn’t help. As I started to become more knowledgable in politics, history, spirituality and nutrition, Everything made sense, and i completely stopped eating meats, processed foods and fast food. I only cook organic even though it is more pricey. I love the feeling of more or less REAL food. I did not do this to be skinny or lose weight, I’m doing this simply because the natural foods that come from this beautiful earth is what the human species should be living off of. I mean it is just common sense. If you don’t love yourself it truly shows in your outer appearance. Mental and physical. This giveaway your doing is awesome. Keeo up the amazing work, your website has guided me somewhat throughout this change 🙂 Thank youuu

Upping my daily intake of local, organic leafy greens have made such a great improvement in my energy level and digestion. Just as much as taking wheat out of my diet has also improved my energy level and digestion, both of which I have done this year. Overall though, it has been the thought process of not just living a considered life, but really analyzing what I am eating and what that food is doing for me as a whole, that has made such an impact on my ability to perform better throughout the day in my running, work and school.

I changed my vegetarian diet to vegan in 2010, and went high raw this May. I also worked hard on removing toxins from my health and beauty products this year – with success! Next year, my goal is removing toxins from my home.

My overall health has gotten better, in general. I have an easier time getting up in the morning. I feel lighter. I have more energy. I sleep better and more soundly. I feel like I’m doing the right thing for my body 🙂

This year I completed my first water fast (35 days!!!). It was the MOST unbelievable experience of my life. I had attempted to water fast in the past but I could never mentally get past Day 3 because I would become afraid of the detox symptoms and quickly give up. I stumbled upon Jennifer’s website and knew that I needed to read her eBook if I wanted to have all the info I needed. Well due to some technical difficulties on Day 1, I could not download the book. I contacted Jennifer and she was so helpful and fixed the problem ASAP. I got the info I needed and began my journey. I am so proud of myself for completing this fast, especially during the holiday season. I’m only 22 years old and my friends and family thought I was crazy! But I knew better and held on mentally strong and I am so thankful. I lost 38 pounds and my skin is sooo clear! My energy is high and I have such a changed, positive outlook on my life. I am thrilled I get start 2013 at my goal weight and having accomplished something so profound. I am currently going to be juicing until Jan. 1st and I’m using my dad’s old juicer (but between you and me, it’s a pain in the behind). I have been wanting the Rockstar of juicers forever now but could never afford it on my own. I hope I win!!!!

The single biggest change in my diet is eating Mila consistently. I’m pretty good on incorporating a lot of raw and organic food into our meals and more and more I focus on food as a way to provide my body with nutrients. Adding Mila has taken my energy and peace around food to the next level. Evening out my blood sugar so I don’t have those killer cravings and a more consistent feeling of well being. Over the course of 6 months and now going on 18 months I have recovered from sciatica, become symptom-free from fibromyalgia and decreased my ulcerative colitis medication from 9 pills/day to 4 pills a day (3/3x per day to 2/2x per day). I am treating myself more kindly and based on good science and feel better and am more fit than I was in my 20s. I love your blog and twitter feed – they are a regular source of good ideas and information. If I won the vitamix it would make 2013 and beyond so much easier to help my entire family eat better. It is the one thing I really wanted for Christmas this year, but the price of a vitamix is our entire budget for gifts and meals this year. Keep up the good work doing what you’re passionate about! Thank you for this opportunity.

I have started to eat clean whole organic foods in the past year. Growing up on junk and processed foods as a child has done quite a number to my digestive system. I now have celiac and have a dairy allergy. I do not eat meat because my stomach takes forever to digest it. I abused my body with the wrong kinds of foods. Now i’ve done a compelte 180 and eat vegan, almost raw foods. I feel vibrant and have had more energy then I did as a kid growing up. I recently forked out the money to buy a juicer, a vitamix is next on my list. It would be a blessing to win one : ) and all the recipes I could put to use!

Three years ago, I was recovering from my second bout of pneumonia in 12 months. I also had severe AIA symptoms, weighed 260lbs and climbing, wore a size 46 jean and was miserable. I visited my Physician and asked for help, what could I do to stem the weight gains, control the asthma, what could I do to feel better?
I walked out of that office with a thick fistful of medication scripts and a small bit of encouragement to “try the Y.”

While the “Y” might have been the healthiest part of the conversation, I felt like there had to be a better way. When I returned to my home, I sat down on the computer and started some serious, in-depth research on non-medical ways to “get better.”

I eventually figured out that what I needed was a lifestyle change and that was the route that I took.

On February 14, 2010, I made the change, completely cold turkey. with meats, alcohol, processed foods and anything that I loved before that date that was, in fact, killing me. I had eliminated sodas earlier but added the “healthy fruit drinks” to my cold turkey lifestyle change. Also, I’ve never smoked, so, the asthma didn’t come from that, at least not directly.

The first three weeks were admittedly tough. I was tiring quickly of salads, I craved the yummy hfcs-laced burgers & fries, the milk shakes & malts, the chocolate and cream filled pastrys… But, I started seeing some weight loss and I was shrinking, lol, so I stayed with it and discovered ways to make my new living food meals tastier than the ones I left behind. (Funny thing, I didn’t crave alcohol, still don’t.)

It will be three years in Feb, 2013. I weigh 210, want to drop more and am looking at eliminating wheat from my lifestyle. I had thought that sprouted grains, including wheat, were ok, not so sure now.
I take almost zero meds, replacing all asthma scripts with essential oil therapy. (I say almost zero because I get an occasional migraine and I take otc meds to control the pain. Perhaps eliminating wheat will aid in eliminating that scourge as well.)

I feel great, look better, have tons more energy, (I am a groundskeeper, and on a average day I walk seven miles so the energy is a good thing.) I haven’t had pneumonia or even a severe cold since the change.

While I am not finished “changing” yet, I think I am on the right track. I felt like a little kid again the first time that I ran, I can’t really tell you how good that felt after years of not being able to run without pain in my knees. It was an awesome confidence builder.

The BMW of blenders would be a great addition to my stable of devices that I use to prepare my food as blenders take a beating with everyday shake prep, you find out quickly which ones can’t cut it.

I hope y’all have a great day, and that you stick with whatever lifestyle change method you have chosen. It’s an awesome choice to make.

My digestion problems which cause acnes from three years ago started to disappear, I never had headache anymore and I feel like I’m spiritually healed. I feel reunite with Mother Nature. Thanks Jennifer for your info and your daily motivation. They help me a lot.

Because of chrons, celiac disease and intestinal digestive disease I had to change my diet heavily and by eating more clean, raw, gluten free food and making your smoothies daily I feel more energised and the doctor says my liver seems to be improving a lot. I also don’t feel as bloated and sick after each meal. The colour of my face also improved and I feel a lot healthier!

I started to eliminate so called “conventional” produce and I am finally at the point that my taste buds are very discriminating . I can taste the difference in produce that has been grown organically…..It’s great. I feel good and know that between juicing and eating organically grown I am doing the best I can considering that this world is so poluted-minded,
Thanks for your receipes. I plan to buy the juicing kit regardless of this contest.
