This Beauty of a Blender could be Yours for FREE!
Just in case you don’t know what a Vitamix is, it’s a blender. That means it blends the fiber and the liquid of whatever you put inside. It is not a juicer (a juicer separates the fiber from the liquid, leaving only the liquid for you to drink). A blender is very practical for busy people because it takes a just a few minutes to prepare your creation, is very easy to clean, and with a blender, you get all the nutrients from your food plus you get the fiber too. Most people are simply not eating enough fiber in their daily diet; the result can lead to poor digestion, acid reflux, arthritis, bad skin, weak liver, sluggishness, foul breath and even restless sleep. Getting fiber in your diet is so easy when you simply have 1 healthy smoothie a day. Add superfoods to your smoothie and you can really maximize the power of your foods to get the most fiber, nutrients, minerals and chlorophyll – all valuable tools for healing and all elements needed to make you feel that Healthy Bliss!

2019

I have started paying more attention to where my food comes from, and I feel more in tune with the Earth when I consume more locally grown foods. That makes me feel good!
My food change in the past 3 months is to stop eating out as much, and eat at home more. Better food, saves money and I feel so much better for not having all the fats and grease in my diet!
Since using it with my students with autism they have learned t follow picture recipes, eat healthy, and make their own meals. We all have more energy and independence since using the vitamix to create healthy soups, smoothies, etc.
This whole process started about 2 1/2 years ago. I weighed more than I’ve ever weighed in my life, 275lbs. I felt horrible, had no energy, and was very sluggish. I started the eating better and bought a Vitamix to help the process along and slowly lost weight, but got stuck around 230-240lbs.
I became a vegan back in August and after eliminating a lot of “toxic” food from my diet, I’ve lost 41lbs and am under 200lbs for the first time in years. I’m a cyclist and am looking forward to 2013. My daughter has been amazed and she is who I would give the Vitamix to if I win.
I’ve been walking daily in our new neighborhood which is very hilly. Great workout. Also getting more dark leafy greens into my diet.
*I would LOVE a Vita Mix!!!!
I have started making healthy & nutritious shakes and have lost 25 lbs! I’m trying to get a routine of exercise – being a 55 yr old stay at home mom and have my own home based business, plus a breast cancer survivor – it’s not always easy to change old habits – but I’m working on it and I feel great!
I have begun to change a few things.
#1 – eliminate processed foods. Which, whenever I get a vitamix will make that even easier. Excited to make my own flour, my own almond milk, etc.
#2 – eliminate gluten
#3 – eliminate dairy
Overall I feel better, more energy, better concentration, And it only takes minutes to whip up a fantastic salad filled with healthy nuts, dried fruit, roasted veggies, and my new love ” Balsamic, Olive Oil, and Honey Dressing” – YUM!
This year I gave up gluten and it has been the best decision I have ever made!! I am dealing with auto immune issues and have been making a lot of changes but what I didn’t know was that I was probably intolerant/allergic to wheat most of my life. I wish I could go back in time and make this change earlier- maybe I would have avoided my health issues. I am trying to focus on the future and healing- I hope that one day I will get back to feeling fantastic.
I’m eating a ‘low FODMAPs’ diet for 8 weeks, as prescribed by and under the guidance of my dietician for IBS, which I’ve had for over 30 years.
I already feel less bloated and windy and have more energy.
It is quite restrictive though, apart from all the usuals there are a lot of fruits and veggies that can’t be eaten: apples, pears, onions, garlic to name just a few. If it improves my quality of life it’s worth it though! 🙂 I feel as though I’ve wasted half my life feeling ill and having stomach problems.
My stomach problems have come to define me!
I have invested in a juicier and I juice regularly. I watch what I eat and I try to eat as clean as possible. 🙂
I actually am going to try having a smoothie a day or at least a couple times a week to get more fruit and veggies in my diet!
Reduce sodium intake. And always read food label on the packaging to know what I am eating.
I removed sugar from my diet. I had skin rashes, and now that I have removed sugar, my rashes have cleared and I feel healthier.
Can’t wait to have a lot more healthy smoothies in 2013, what a great way to start the New Year!!
Our family has a green smoothie every morning and we are having a very healthy year! Thanks Vitamix!
I have started my quest to become healthier for myself, and my family. I have included my daughters in this as well… as I want them to be as healthy as possible. They lost their dad to cancer 7 years ago, and explaining to them some of the reason he might have gotten cancer, we had a discussion about all the unhealthy choices in food that is available. Together we have decided to do what is right for our bodies and to help fight any health problems that may come our way. We have started by having full fruit and spinach smoothies every morning. We have moved away from preprocessed foods and are concentrating on whole foods. Along the way, I hope to shed 70 extra pounds and be able to start climbing some 14ers next summer!
I’ve recently switched to a plant based diet and the difference is amazing! I feel better, have more energy and have lost weight too! I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 34. This is my way of taking back my body and controlling exactly what happens to it. I have been cancer free for 3 years now and it feels wonderful to know that I am taking care of myself in the best way possible!!! 🙂
I stopped eating process foods. Like TV dinners, food in a box, pizza, cereal, sugar, even stopped drinking milk. Started drinking green smoothies and protein shakes. Exercise 5 days a week. Have lost 25 lbs. since I retired 4 years ago and feel great.
I have limited my portion size when I eat and included more fruits and veggies! I have just felt healthier and I feel like I have more energy!
A positive change I have made is forget the little things. No more creamer in my coffee, skip the ketchup (the hardest for me!!) and other condiments. My boyfriend & I have also joined a gym & keep eachother motivated..even though he’s loosing weight more quickly!..MUST CATCH UP!
I have recently watched a documentary and would love to do a ‘juice cleanse’. Over the years I have watched my mom use her vita-mix for SO many great recipes! (Baby food, dog good, smothies, jucies…the list is endless) I never pass by the vita-booth at costco, either!!
Now that I’m out of moms house and ready to get serious about ‘juicing’ I’m ready for my own Vita-Mix!!
I would enjoy this unit to the fullest because it would benefit me in the fact I had bypass surgery a few years ago. These units are a God send.
I have decreased the intake of processed foods with the hopes of eliminating them.
I became vegan and I’ve felt better than any other time in my life! I also buy organic and prepare most of my family meals in my kitchen 😉
I enjoy juicing and fresh cooked foods no more junk food for me and do not need any coffee since I always have a feel good energy Thanks for the chance to win Happy Holidays
having a greens-protein-fibre drink for breakfast has broken some bad habits of either not eating in the morning or grabbing a baked good for breakfast. this ritual has brought me back to my healthier eating days.
The Gracie Diet. It has regulated my digestive tract!
I have made some really great changes to my diet and they have really helped me feel better over the last few months! Clean food has been key – I make a green smoothie every morning with romaine, spinach, banana, apple, & lemon and I drink hot water with lemon and tea throughout the day. I eat lots of green food and avoid GMO’s, processed foods and difficult to digest grains. I practice Yoga and am starting this week on some meditation practices! Can’t wait. I feel really great and I know winning this contest would really push me in a wonderful direction for the new year!!!!
I have lyme disease and one thing that has helped me heal is eating right. i’m now a vegetarian, juicer and follow a strict antiinflammatory diet… something that a VITAMIX and Iridology Analysis could help me with even more… healing completely!
Been juicing a bit but not enough as my juicer is cheap and crap =[
I started working out regularly even though I’ve been pregnant the last 8 months and I’ve been trying my best to eat clean and add green smoothies to my day. But I have the crappiest blender that leaks like crazy and is about 20 years old! I have 4 weeks until my 3rd baby gets here and I feel healthier than I have in years 🙂
I have started eating more local, organic veggies and fruits through greenbean delivery. It’s been great to experiment with different veggies in new dishes. It’s funny how adding more veg can make you feel so much better.
I make a 64 oz pitcher of green smoothies every evening before dinner. My husband and I drink a 16 oz glass before dinner, and I bottle 16 oz for each of us to take to work for lunch. This has helped us to maintain our weight, and lower our cholesterol. Since we are adding spinach and many other great nutrient full greens, my always low iron is now normal.
I have started drinking green smoothies before workouts and now I definitely have more energy and more endurance!
Post eating disorder i have evened out my diet & reintroduced food groups (although limited 2 specific items – citrus fruit & cottage cheese, which i ate too much off during the anorexia) my teeth are no longer under so much attack from acid erosion & my gut no longer produces awful smells!
I love green smoothies and eating more raw has had great benefits to my family’s health! The answer is simple – eat live, unprocessed foods to help lose weight and feel great 🙂
Becoming vegan really changed the way I lived drastically.
A few years ago I was struggling with an eating disorder that was ruining my life completely. As I continued down this path, I realized that I had to make a change in MY life, and not wait for others to help me.
I met a woman who was so passionate about her life. Watching her, I felt inspired to become just as joyful and passionate as she was. I wanted to fill the hole I had left in myself from this disorder.
Slowly but surely, I recovered. she taught me about the vegan lifestyle, how to live compassionately, and love myself.
Since then, I have gained over 20 pounds and am slowly, but surely freeing myself from my eating disorder.
I have removed animal products from my diet and gone plant based and started juicing. I feel so much better. I have more energy, don’t get sick and my skin looks great!
One change I have made is eating much less processed foods. I make a big effort to make my meals myself so I know what ingredients are going in. I can control the sugar and salt content. I pack my own lunch every day and make dinner each night. I make it a point to eat a small salad before I have my lunch everyday. I don’t get sick as often and have better energy throughout the day. I find I don’t hit an afternoon slump.
There have been many dietary shifts and other lifestyle choices which have overall improved my health. I have to give exceptional credit to the healing power of good, spring water. Water has the ability to flush the body of toxins and help release allergins. It also triggers histamines in the brain. There are even studies done by legit doctors over the effects of water increasing immune function to the extent of being a positive cure for AIDS patients (watercure.com). Afterall, our bodies are made primarily of this life giving nectar!
I’ve completely overhauled my, and my family’s, diet. We now eat only whole, unprocessed, or minimally processed, gluten-free foods. We have all lost a substanial amount of weight, no longer take ANY prescription medications, and many of the behaviours associated with my daughter’s autism have reduced or disappeared. Real food is the foundation of health. It is our family’s first priority.
I hoop dance for fitness and add protein to my breakfast. It has helped me to get more lean and have more energy. I love making soups and adore Vitamix
I start the day with a smoothie made in my Vitamix and try to begin dinner with a soup also made in my Vitamix.
I’ve made many changes to my diet and I’ve lost 45 pounds. I try to make vegetables and fruit the largest part of my diet. I try to eat 1 cup of beans everyday. I gave up gluten, dairy, and I limit my meat consumption (mostly seafood, almost no beef or pork, only a few times a week). I try to eat a large salad everyday. I also try to supplement with Vitamin D and algae (omega-3) oil. I love green smoothies, I make them when I have all the ingredients on hand.
I found out after 45 years of health that I had hight cholesterol and my husband has the hight cholesterol and high blood pressure. We both have decided to add more fruit and veggies to our diet and try to lower this heart disease stuff on our own. My husband does take a BP pill, but I’m still trying to lower mine naturally. We are trying to eat food that has bright colors and not all of the brown stuff. We also incorporate chia see, flax seed, and organic vinegar into our daily diets. Would love to blend a lot of this stuff together and drink it instead of trying to eat three healthy meals a day.
I have eliminated yeast from my diet. After thinking I was living with IBS a doctor mentioned that my yeast levels were high and recommended a candida cleanse. After that cleanse as I was reintegrating foods I noticed that I felt sick after consuming yeast – such a revelation!
Cut out Gluten, I can now eat and not feel like I ate a brick afterwards, it’s an amazing feeling!
I started using Ayurvedic herbs and juices and making smoothies and it helped my body rebalance and now I’m having a baby 🙂 I feel great and we’re so excited to expand our family!
Making smoothies for breakfast is so healthy and fast for me on my busy schedule. I have more energy and stay full longer then an egg and toast. I am trying to give up sweets, which is so hard but I hope to stay positive and strong throughout my lifestyle changes I am making for a healthier me….
My son was diagnosed with autism and suffers from a leaky gut and many gastrointestinal issues. Since his diagnosis, we have radically changed our entire family’s diet to live healthier.
I am now a Paleo Eater and do mainly plant based diet..I do green juice every morning. My skin and energy has never been better.
