Jennifer Thompson

This week’s Interesting Person is the terrific and inspiring, Jennifer Thompson. She loves eating healthy and living a natural, holistic life. Thanks, Jennifer; it was great getting to know a bit more about you!

1. Where do you feel most comfortable?
On a secluded beach, on a mountain summit at sunrise or trekking through a beautiful forest. Call me Nature Girl 🙂

2. Describe your average day in one word.
Energizing!

3. Who are the people who most inspire you?
I’m inspired by people who have the courage to live their true destiny in life, to follow their hearts and against all odds, to find success and happiness in doing what they love.

4. What do you love about your work?
I love that I am able to help people heal themselves. Being part of someone’s healing journey is truly a gift. Teaching people to live more in alignment with Mother Earth is so important and I am happy knowing that my work is helping to ignite positive change in the world for all living beings.

5. What is your most beloved hobby?
Running daily or walking the beach is my time for myself and I cherish that! My only other ‘hobby’ is my interest in crystals for healing and balancing energies in the body – as a scientist I have a deep respect for the very real yet subtle vibrational energy that crystals provide.

6. What are you reading?
I just finished Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol today, now I am reading 2012 – The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel Pinchbeck.

7. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
My Dad once said to me, ‘Whenever one door closes in life, another one always opens.’ It’s so true!

8. What movie or television show do you think everyone should be required to watch?
Food Matters. It is absolutely critical that we start to really understand what we are feeding ourselves and our children today. Quality of food affects quality of health on every level, and we simply can’t afford to ignore this anymore. As they say in the film, we need ‘education, not medication!’
