Right now, I’m really liking Plant Power by Nava Atlas
Well i have both read and seen alot of books and Dvds. But the documentary “Fat,Sick and nearly dead” gave me that booze to just be healthier. And i LOVE to drink smoothies but my old blender that i have is not working that good anymore, it’s leaking and starting to get really annoying. I have always wanted to have a blendtec but it is really expensive and i can’t afford it. If i were to win it would really help me out a lot. And i could get even healthier

I find inspiration from my entire collection of Martha Stewart books! Her cookbooks are simple, inspirational, easy to understand, healthy and if she can cook healthy anybody can! My favorite recipe is her green smoothie that she has every single morning.
I have too many books and all have great nuggets of info in them. My healthier eating started over 20 years ago when a soy allergy reared it’s ugly head. I had to make everything from scratch and my book was in the human form of my mother. 20+ years later it’s more about learning to cook from the basics and making my things from that. Fat Sick and Nearly Dead got us back on juicing while Food Inc. had us eating more organic foods and knowing where things come from.
This one is an oldie but goodie! Raw Juices Can Save Your Life by Dr Sandra Cabot
The Envi girls blog has really impacted my lifestyle from what I eat to what products I use! http://theenvigirls.com/

The Complete Cooking Light Cookbook
One book that has really helped me is Afro-Vegan by Bryant Terry because it helped me to incorporate more vegan foods into my lifestyle and diversify the way I eat 🙂
My favorite recipe book that has been a blessing in my health journey is Real Girls Kitchen, another great book has been “If you have a Craving I have a Cure” by Sheri Rose Shepherd, the book has really helped me in my new gluten free lifestyle after learning that I am Celiac.
The cookbook I use is one I’ve had for ages: Healthy Homestyle Cooking. She takes homestyle cooking and cuts out a lot of the fat, but makes it so it’s still tasty.
Hi Jennifer,
It is really a hard call for me to name just one book. The journey to a healthier lifestyle began in my teens. With the birth of my 1st child at 27, I became evermore committed to living a healthy lifestyle. Now as a grandma, I look forward to seeing the benefits my grandchildren receive from something as easy and delicious as a green smoothie. Louis Hay’s Book Heal your Life was definitely a beginning point and remains an inspiration. Daniel Vitalis and David Wolfes stories and their work inspire me. I love Katrina Blair’s book “Turtle Lake Refuge’s Recipes for Living Deep”. I am ordering copies of your book to give for Xmas and look forward to reading it this Holiday and also giving a copy or two to family. Choosing is hard…ok “Local Wild Life” by Katrina Blair chock full of awesome raw wild deluciousness. Plus just like yourself Jennifer her work is creating beautiful positive changes for people and within their communities. And the love spreads out from there. Thank you Jennifer for all that you do to educate and serve.
Genetic Roulette and Fed Up were two of the most inspirational forms of media for me in terms of turning around my diet. It has been something that really made me think and since then I have wanted to do something about it! Also, if there were one place that I would love to get away and detox it would be to California along the beach somewhere. It is where I founded my health journey, and I honestly felt like the communion of people around that were health conscious made it easier. I want to thank you for this giveaway, its life changing to get a good blender to try to achieve goals of true health and wellness!
my favorite cookbook is Oh She Glows by Angela Lidden

I follow the Thrive blog from Vega. I enjoy being a meat free athlete, so smoothies are my thing!
The biggest thing that helped/influenced me was KNOWLEDGE. specifically in the form of some eye opening documentaries (not all vegan-oriented, but some)….especially Forks Over Knives. It really challenged me to read nutrition labels and move towards a whole foods diet 🙂
in a retreat and spa
What an amazing giveaway! My favourite book that has expanded my spectrum, health-wise, would be Spiritual Nutrition: Six Foundations for Spiritual Life and the Awakening of Kundalini by Gabriel Cousens
I have been a strict vegan for about eight years, but when Forks Over Knives came out, I only grew more inspired in my beliefs!!*^^*
Thank you SO much for offering all of these giveaways! A few years ago, I took your green smoothie class in Seoul. Immediately following, I went out and bought a cheap-o blender. I have YOU to thank for my initial green smoothie obsession~
It would be amazing to finally have a quality blender~crossing my fingers!!*^^*
